Gainsb'art project
A link between international artists
The Gainsb’art project is the result of a dialogue between the portraits shooted by photographer Roberto Battistini in 1985 and many contemporary artists. The iconic Gainsbourg-Dalí picture, which merges two emblematic figures into one single portrait, has triggered surprising reinterpretations.
An exercise which has brought multi-faceted artworks to life, connecting together generations of artists from all over the world.
Roberto Battistini was born in Bastia in 1959. He lives and works in Paris.
He holds a degree in Cinema from the University of Paris VIII, and is a graduate student of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
His photographic work was exhibited in Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris.
