François Bel
Suspended moments
François Bel is a mirage maker. He imagines weightless worlds suspended in silence. He creates the perfect illusion. The everyday objects, dissected and inlayed in translucent blocks, are an open door to the fascinating world of a parallel dimension. Through dismantled watches, torn spray-paint cans or levitating paint tubes, he manages to freeze the ultimate moment of disintegration, of action. By stopping time, he reveals inaccessible moments.
His eye-catchers stir our imagination. They show us the invisible. They fascinate as much as they intrigue.
François Bel was born in 1977. He leaves and works in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
